That top is a hoot! I mean for the hooters. I mean....never mind. Cute, though!

Good heavens. That top is the pointy-toed stiletto heel of nursing wear.
SOME of us (cough cough) are such leaky mamas that a sassy little knitted top such as that would last all of an hour before it had to be thrown in the wash. And I bet it can't go in the dryer. I think I'll stick to my super-functional double-reinforced buttressed-superstructure nursing bra and a host of dark floral-patterned blouses.
Actually at this point (Delia is a year old almost) it's not so bad, but I flinched when I thought of what a struggle that would have been in the beginning... or even until around February... :)

Adorable, and good for Josie Mercier for designing it. Too late for me, but it's about time someone did it.
Practical? Hmmm...

Oh My goodness.....great idea but I don;t wear tank tops...and I would leak through that in a second!

i would have *loved* this a year ago! way cute. although i will admit that i still prefer to pull my shirt up from the bottom...
your haul from nh looks divine, and i *adore* your skein of homespun.
don't ask how my spinning is going.... i think it's going to have to wait for summer. god i love summer.
i went to the yarn store yesterday to look for yarn for a tank, and everything i liked was going to be over $40 for a small or medium sized tank! yikes! is it possible to make somethink i'm going to like for less than that?

I love the concept, although in a million years I never would have been able to make one to fit me and despite my efforts to try and lactate when we adopted my first child it was to no avail. I have useless breasts (well maybe not entirely useless..)and jettisoned the other useless body parts/organs long ago.... However, I have a petite pregnant friend that would love something like this and I plan to get right on it! So, to all you nursing Mom's, how much bigger than her "normal" size should I be making this?
