Blender the Bad Guy

Henry: I'm Blender the bad guy!

Mama: Oh, really?

H: Yeah.  I'm the biggest and strongest of all the bad guys.

M: Huh.

H: I have more weapons than any of the other bad guys!

M: Hmmm.

H: I have more weapons, and they're in my pocketbook.

M: You have a pocketbook.

H: Yeah, I'm a bad guy, and I have a pocketbook, and I have lots of weapons, and I can stop all the other bad guys.

M: Well, you know weapons aren't allowed in our house, but thanks for telling me.

H: Sure mommy.  RRRRRROAR!  I'm BLENDER!

So, if you see a little guy wtih superhero underpants and a pocketbook full of weapons, you'll know you're dealing with Blender.

Blender the bad guy.

Beware of Blender!  And his pocketbook of doom!

I love my queer little family.

Heehee!

He's a riot. My house is filled with imaginary friends, so sometimes I feel like I'm refereeing a cranky playgroup although I only have one kid. We have (in order in which they moved in) Nina, Conk, ChiChi, Sarah, and Donut. I'm sure I've forgotten someone.... They play games with us and we have to keep track of whose turn it is.

Wow. That's fabulous for so many reasons. Hee hee.

I love that! My little guy who's about to turn 5 picked out some bright red yarn at the SnB last week so I could knit him a superhero cape.

Do you laugh when they say stuff like this? I read stuff about what kids are doing out there and I don't know if I'll be able to keep a straight face when it's my turn to raise kiddies.

Oh, you made me laugh out loud. And I had to read it to my roommate here at the conference. Too funny!

Too funny! I'll keep a watch out for Blender The Bad Guy and his overflowing Pocketbook of Weapons

I have an overflowing pocketbook of weapons, too. Welcome to the club, Henry. Do yours produce socks?

Hah! Wonderful.

That is too funny. I'll make sure that if I'm out in Noho, I'll stay clear of Blender. We have the no weapons rule here too -- whenever a new toy comes in the house, it's like one of those amnesty days where everyone volunatarily turns in weapsons.

I love it. The thing about having a boy and a girl is that you never have to worry about giving them gender-neutral toys; they will play with all the toys in ways you never expected. When my kids were younger we had Barbies defending the castle and ugly trolls being treated as baby dolls.

Coffee.Out.My.Nose.

RRRRRROAR!

So adorable! I have the stupid 'awww' I love little kids look on my face right now.

He is TOO precious!
I can't wait for Little Man's imagination to truly express itself.

Me too. I've always wondered why more men don't carry pocketbooks. Think of the weaponry you could haul!

Blender, what an excellent name for a bad guy.

Well, you know that the pocketbook itself, properly wielded, can be a fearsome weapon. So I'll watch my step.

That kid is one serious bad-ass. No doubt!

Tee hee! That's awesome.

Well, of COURSE he's Blender. Blender makes a lot of noise, he mixes things up, he shreds them beyond recognition. And his pocketbook ALWAYS matches his cape.

Henry and the Young'un would love each other, I think.

Now all you need is for Eleanor to become The Mixer (red Kitchen-Aid, perhaps?) and you'll be all set for years of meal planning. Those mixer attachments should fit in a coordinating pocketbook, yes?
too cute!

Wonderful. Just wonderful!

David & I laughed.

Are Blender & the Boodle likely to show up at the alpaca show in Springfield next weekend? They'd get to meet Quazar the Monster Poofball.

Blender boy may have his match. Don't forget it's Dr. Who night. Prepare....
