Extra!

ETA: Guess who didn't update her weather information before posting?  I swear it was "scattered showers late" last time I checked.  Yeah, well.  My only excuse is that I'm in the midst of the Week from Hell, part 2 of 5.  Woot.  Anyway, here's the five-day weather report for Concord, NH:

Charming picnic weather, eh?  Rumor has it there's a set of covered picnic tables near the alpacas.  I have only the vaguest memory of this (I was there on a sunny day last year), but let's forget the patch of (soggy) grass.  Look for the covered picnic tables covered with huddled, shivering bloggers.  Dagnabbit.  Who's bringing hot toddies?

Thanks, Jan, for the cool thing.

*clapping wildly*

that's wonderful! so cool.

yes i know it's not "real"

That was really funny, and I can just hear Carole saying that, too.

AWESOME on all counts! See you in a few :-)

Here's hoping all goes well and I make it there....this time with more than just chips and salsa (I hope). Noah has another Bday party, but maybe Em will come with me this time.

Oh man! I was going to use the newspaper post thingy, too! Great minds think alike and apparently not just when it comes to picnics.
I'll post this tomorrow and hopefully we'll get everybody covered.

the only thing i can bring to mind after reading that headline is a flock of sheep in a park, sitting on checkered tablecloths under expansive trees, eating watermelon and dandelion sandwiches.

Hooray! See you on Saturday.

Augh! I've been going back and forth and back and forth on going to this - Sheep and Wool in the pouring rain? Not so much.

This is tipping me over the edge....

My mother will be with me though. And I'd have to explain to her about the blog...

I'll be stopping by! See you soon...

That is AWESOME! I'll keep an eye out for you this weekend!

Awwww, I'm so sorry to miss it. Any chance of some sort of evening happenings as well?

I'll be thinking of all of you on Saturday and wishing I were there! {SAD}

Excellent! Who thinks of these things?

Yah!

I'll be there, possibly with hubbers. You'll love him in person! ;)

There was talk of dinner. What are we thinking about that now?

Well, at least it is not going to snow like it did 4 years ago. Which I cleverly missed because I was in Wisconsin celebrating my dear Nonny's 90th birthday.

okay, can i just say that i'm so freakin' jealous of all these folks who get to hang out with you regularly???

i'm feeling a deep and somewhat desperate need for a retreat, and have been thinking of making it a knitting one up your way. do you think we could work that out? maybe with sara and co? i'll email you or call soon. i miss you.

marta, who is a total amateur in your company, but who is very happy to have two very old projects off their needles (okay, one isn't really *done*, but it is off the needles....), and a very exciting (in an simple, humble, novice sort of way) project on the needles!

I like my weather report better than yours: http://tinyurl.com/pu5ge

I think every year i went or thought opf going to MA sheep and wool it rained, too! So I'll haul out the rain suit and a spair, and a couple of big zip locs...i have a coffee thermos that could do for toddies or other hot bevvies...whaddya fancy??

The hummus wishes it was going to be there.

Oh, it sounds fun...

Well, I guess David and I will plan on bringing hummus. :-)

Hi! I am going to be up there with the elusive PC... a.k.a. my boyfriend Dan. He's a little wary of wet sheep all day, but what the hell... it'll be an adventure! :) We were planning on eating at the festival (PC loves him some sheep meat, me-- the wool is fine).

I will be looking for you all near the alpacas! :)

:)Kate
PS_ does anyone know who will be there for vendors? I'm on a sock yarn mission--- and maybe my 1st drop spindle?

Remember, you're all Knitters! Which means there are probably warm woolly sweaters in your wardrobe. One of those and a rain jacket with hood or hat should keep you dry and toasty. Oh, and wear your woolly socks too...keep your feet warm even when wet.

Sigh, yet another festabal for me to miss. And the saddest part is, I've tasted some of that yummy food, so I know what I'm missing. Y'all have fun without me, and eat some extra hummus for me, 'kay?
