Somebody Get Me Some Spackle.
Evolution Major Vanishes From Approved Federal List
Kellee, step away from the rusty farm implements.
Also, Mafia? Is this proof enough that it is that bad? And who are you and where did you put my fellow lefty paraniod conspiracy theorist friend anyway?
Speaking of lefty paranoid conspiracy theorists, thanks, mom, for the link to the article.

...sigh...
It seems a little, um, suspect, doesn't it? I love the fact that, despite my having attended a tiny Catholic school, it wasn't until I was in high school working in an office that I met someone who actually believed in creationist theory (six days. yup, 144 hours as marked by her little timex).
Oy.
We hates them, my precious.

Wow. I gonna assume it really was an innocent mistake (having successfully distracted the conspiracy theory part of myself with recent events in the Middle East.) But wow anyway.

Cate, how can you be so cynical? They SAID it was an accident ;)

Utterly believable, right down to blunt instrument nature of the thing.
How to make your nation backward and stupid AND PROUD OF IT in one generation. That ought to be the subtitle of this administration.

I have something that will make you smile.
Go to google. Type in failure.
See what pops up as the first match?!

holy fuck! you know i've always been one to give the benefit of the doubt but something definitely smells. the theory of evolution is what did it for me as a kid and is why i eventually majored in biology in college. it's omission may not have been intentional, but not catching the error until after the list was released. there, i'm giving them the benefit of the doubt again. someone removed evolutionary biology from the list, and i want their head.

I like Cece's thing. That is funny. The omission of evotionary biology I will not comment on except to say that I live in a really nice town. With universities. And available farmland nearby... And maybe organizations that need accountants...

Fuck that is appalling. Surprising, no, but appalling, yes. I find it hard to believe it is an oversight as they claim.

I'd be much more willing to consider McLane's explanation if the "error" were corrected promptly.
Posted by:Chris | August 24, 2006 at 12:45 PM
unbelievable. or rather, sadly believable....

I smell a ripe rat rotting in the corner somewhere. I'm with Maryse on not catching the error.

Here I am, your fellow lefty paranoid conspiracy theorist friend. I disappear to my MIT SnB for an hour, and all hell breaks loose. I haven't read the damned report, so I'm relying on you to tell me how horrible it is. Apparently, it's even worse than we thought. I've got a big ol' can o' Spellings-be-gone right here, and I'm not afreered to use it. [Oh, is that supposed to be spelled "afraid"? Dag-nabbit.] And since when is there a list of acceptable majors for low-income students? But not the rich kids? Bring blood slowly to a boil. Add 1 tsp of sass and 1/2 cup of whoop-ass. Simmer for 2 hours. Send to Washington.
...O' Canada...

Oh my goodness. Gah. I don't even know what to say.

I don't even know what to say to this one...

Honey, it bleeds up here too. My kid was in catechism for six months without my knowledge, despite the fact that I checked off "non-religious moral education."
Um, yes, moral education is on the curriculum in Québec. I'd give you a barf bag, but I've done run out.
