New Obsession
I saw this a while back and had to have it.
It was a long wait, but it's out now. My box arrived today.
I've already cast on for a sleeve swatch. It's love.
Speaking of love, I got my Ravelry invite yesterday (I know, I know, I just kept telling myself I didn't have time for it...until I decided that didn't matter any more than it did for any of the other things I don't have time for). I've set up a nice little camp over there already, and I'm not nearly done.
When I photograph the entire stash and put it on Ravelry, that's when you can send the white coat people (which you'll probably do when you see the stash anyway). For now I'm totally grooving on browsing projects, checking in on friends, and cataloging my favorites.
Life, as usual, is hectic. I have, however, reserved a seat in the Marcy-mobile for some sort of fibery happening this weekend. It will be a perfect kick-off to a long-awaited weeklong vacation in what has turned out to be a very busy summer.
Can't wait. Hope to see you there. For now, here is a kid pic--it has been a while. If Robin looks familiar, that's because he is. Sara was here for a week and the superheroes made the upstairs safe for humanity. Thank goodness.

I will sleep safe tonight knowing such amazing heroes are out there keeping the planet safe. Noah still builds me Lego robots to guard me when he goes out.
Ravelry is addictive and I am being good until the week end when I can try and play with it a bit more. If I can't head to the beach I may head to the Fiber event. be well.

OMG that picture is hysterical. Have fun this weekend. We got Henry's call but after Toby had gone to bed - so we'll call re the mystery soon :) Did you happen to find Toby's red backpack....

Hehe! Great kid pic! I do a bit every day in the "Rabbithole"- it's the browsing that's the killer! Can't wait to see you on Saturday.

I'm so jealous--my kit's not going to be here until next week . . .
Love the superhero picture!

Whew, even way down here in Gotham, I feel much safer. And who, exactly, is your daughter? Wonder Woman Princess :-)?

I love that sweater, too. Can't wait to see yours when it's done! Sorry to miss you this weekend, was planning on going but something has come up :(

The sweater is gorgeous, the kit tempting. I will not succumb to such blatant attempts to set aside my current project (okay, projects)! I'll be watching your progress with interest. Even as I cling to my truth that it is not merely 'stash' if it is actually cast on---- if I bring yet more into the house my partner will likely bay at the moon!
The superheroes are so cute-----glad that the world is safe for democracy, at least in your neck of the woods!
See you on Ravelry (where I have been for a few days and have not set up much of anything!)

Wow, gorgeous sweater!!! And the kids are priceless!!! (wow, are they really that big already???)
So, I went ahead and added you as a friend in Ravelry, welcome aboard!!!

Oh I am so jealous your kit is already there! I am supposed to get all of my yarn (except the skeins of sunrise, which you apparently bought her out of) in another day or so. I can't wait! So glad you joined the KAL--it will be so much more fun together! :-)

Autumn Rose is one of the most stunning fair isles I've seen in a long, long time. I think a certain Scottish designer should be watching her back. ;-)

That sweater is extremely tempting, and I HATE fair isle. Usually.

damn. My "check engine" light came on this morning on my way into work - it's as though it has a way of knowing when I want to head south for knitting. I hope you have a grand time - please say hello to everyone for me.
I hadn't before seen the picture of the fair isle - tempting...very, very tempting...
(only thing stopping me from ordering the book is lack of time and $...soon though, soon.)
