What a lovely time. I've got so little of my brain to share with the internets these days, but I had another halcyon weekend in the Berkshires with old friends. Somehow, even if you're a lame blogger like me, those friendships don't disappear. I had a weekend of pick-up-where-you-left-off visiting, with lots of wool and wine, as it should be. It's possible that the government of Spain may be increasing wine production in response to our consumption over the weekend, but that's okay because there's always next year. When everyone left, the silence was deafening. I need that kind of conversation every once in a while. I've got plenty of souvenir wool to remember the weekend by.
This weekend was all kid-birthday-parties and laundry and combing of basement storage for purging and assiduous effort in pursuit of a large Indiana Jones lego set's completion. I even cooked a pretty nice dinner tonight.
Life is hard but life is good. I'll pop back in next time I can.
We'll be here.

I wish you could just say Life is good. I know that will happen for you.

That's what we are here for. And we will be here.

A good time out for yourself is one of the best things you can do for your kids. You all deserved your weekend.

It was so great to see you, I wish I could have stayed late and hung out.
The life is hard thing is so true, even when it is going well it is hard. It is easier when you assume it and plug along, right? Then you can see the good part.

Always here. Got nowhere else to go. And, on the whole, it's not a bad place to be stuck.
(I'll hold the hymnal so we can both sing.)

I wish I'd gotten to see you :(

I wish I could have come down...I've been seeing photos of you all over the blogosphere and it makes me get all emotional. Miss you a LOT.
Hey, we both posted today. Cool :-) But you're way less lame than me, dude.

Always happy to hear from you, when ever you can make it. Glad to hear you had a great weekend!
I think we're both holding out for life being just Good. Lucia, do you mind if I read over your shoulder while we all sing? ;)

Hey, glad you're still out there. I agree with Carole - I hope that you get to the "life is good", no qualifiers, soon.

I wish things were easier for you guys. Have another glass of wine at least!
Hugs from 98 humid freakin' degrees!

Wonderful as always to see you at Cummington, though sad we couldn't stay and hang out. Why does it always seem like the day just flies by? Hang in there. It does get better with time and mine is graduating on Friday :-)

G'evening...
it's Labor Day weekend
...(or so they tell me - I've been on nightfloat and so now that it's 9pm I'm WIDE awake and ready for some action, which is unfortunate, as my cats keep looking at each other as though they are thinking, "doesn't she know that we sleep now, and have a romp around 3am, when she finally crashes? gees, see what five nights on call in the hospital will do to a person?")...
and, it'd be nice to have a wee update that reads something like: all's well (or not), just busy (or not), and maybe a picture? of a kid or two, a wheel, a fun chalk drawing or fingerpainting or the like. The dog, the cat, the knitting or a picture to show the lack'thereof?
If for no reason other than the fact that the Cummington post just keeps reminding me that I wasn't there.
Please? xoxox

Cate,
I've been doing a lot of knitting lately (is it normal to keep casting on new projects? because I've got three pairs of socks and a sweater and a lace scarf and now I'm thinking, hmmm, lace shawl for Christmas? and it seems a little, um, compulsive) and I think of you all the time. I hope you're well, that the changing of the seasons has been bringing you new gifts for the fall, and that you're having fun with yarn.
